在这个作品当中我们面临的挑战在于如何将中国传统文化通过现代化的设计语言进行跨媒介表达。舞龙文化是中国传统文化当中独有的节庆文化，我们从中选择板凳龙作为设计灵感——以其表演当中的曲线型动线、分段式蜡烛灯笼的造型为参考。由于跨学科和跨媒介知识的空缺，在实际生产当中我们遇到了一些挑战。例如流线型的螺纹结构导致蜡烛表面难以着色。经过多方合作，最终实现了平面设计的媒介转换。作品以简洁的外观，趣味性的交互体验对中华传统文化进行了创造性的转化。

For the year of the Dragon, we drew inspiration from an unique traditional Chinese dragon lantern dance in celebration of the new year to create this candle gifting set. Much like the long winding giant puppet of a dragon used by the dragon dancers, our design features endless connecting curves with segments of the dragon’s body interlocking in a playful manner. This design allows the dragon to be potentially extended infinitely which symbolizing an everlasting fortune. The logotype we have created on the packaging is based on the curve and the shape of the dragon candle we have designed.
